Rewilding with Kids Through Natural Crafts

How can we connect children to their place in a meaningful way in today's world? In this talk we will discuss the ways in which natural crafting–harvesting materials from nature and creating the tools we need to live with our own hands–is one of the most fundamental ways to deepen our relationship to our place, and to understand how humans and nature are one in the same. Working with our hands in this way, using all of our senses, also has the potential to create a therapeutic, grounding practice that will stay with children their entire life. We will talk about where to start on this journey and the challenges that exist and how to overcome them.
